Portrait Commissions

In times gone by if you wanted a portrait you would have handed a large pile of cash to John Singer Sargent, Joshua Reynolds or Andy Warhol. Today you hand over that cash to RAGTOP, the home of contemporary society portraiture. 

There is a two month waiting list for RAGTOP commissions, although portraits can be expedited, see FAQ. Please get in touch to order.

Portrait fees:

The costs depend on the size you require and the number of images you order.

As an example, a premium portrait of 50cm x 50cm, printed on high quality paper would currently be circa £10,000 + expenses* + delivery. Smaller images cost less, bigger cost more. If you wish to have the piece framed that will cost more as well. Get in touch for details.

Variations: Any extra artwork of the same composition with reimagined colours, ordered at the same time, costs 50% of the original fee. EG.

Art comes alive when it is part of a series. When you purchase a work you get the chance to buy a series of pieces of the same composition with reimagined colors. An example is given below. Such a series can be displayed together on one wall, or in different rooms, each work giving a new perspective on the same theme. It’s a great way to liven up a collection.

Your work will be created in and despatched from England. Please be aware of any customs duties that you will have to pay if you are ordering from overseas.

We can deliver portraits to London embassies.

*Expenses: We usually need to meet the subject of the work to take photographs from which we can work to create your artwork.
